This in-residence course (formerly Income Tax Practice) provides a sound understanding of the Income Tax Act, an appreciation of the critical issues in current legislation and major changes proposed for the future.

2018 Income Tax Practice Course – West

Special Requirements

All participants are required to live in-residence for the duration of the course.

CPA Canada will reserve a room (with guarantee late arrival) at the Fairmont Banff Springs for each participant. Participants are responsible for settling their own room account on checkout. Accounts are paid directly to the Fairmont Banff Springs on departure. Participants will be asked for a credit card on arrival. "No shows" will be charged.

Guestroom block is from October 27 - November 1, 2018:

  • $224 single occupancy per night plus applicable taxes
Daily Rates include:
  • one nights accommodation
  • one breakfast
  • one lunch
  • continuous coffee service
  • internet access in guestroom and meeting room
  • all taxes and gratuities
Tuition Fee $3295.00 plus applicable taxes, plus $475.00 facility fee = $3770.00 *

Transportation

CPA Canada has arranged for private shuttle bus transfers to Fairmont Banff Springs from Hampton Inn by Hilton Airport, Calgary International Airport.

The cost of the bus transportation to and from the course is $80.00 plus applicable taxes + a $47.00 Banff National Park Entry Fee (non refundable). This must be paid at the time of registration. Without pre-payment you are not permitted on the bus. There will be no custom pick-up/drop-offs.

CPA Canada will be running a bus from the Hampton Inn by Hilton Airport (across from Calgary International Airpor). We will have a Hospitality Suite at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Airport - room TBD . This Suite will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00* p.m. for your convenience while you wait for departing coaches.

Please note that you need to check in at the Hospitality Suite when you arrive. Priority on buses is based on signing-in at the Hospitality Suite. Coaches are for participants only – all guests will have to make their own travel arrangements.

The bus will depart the Hampton Inn by Hilton Airport on Saturday, October 27, 2018. The return bus will depart at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

This bus is only for participants that have purchased and paid in advance for this service.

  • Bachelor Suite - $288.63 single per person per night

Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend an event for any reason, you may substitute, by arrangement with the Participant Coordinator, someone else from your organization, or, you may cancel up to 30 calendar days prior to the course start date for a full refund. Cancellations received within 30 calendar days of the conference start date will be subject to a $300 administration fee (plus applicable taxes) and any related hotel cancellation fees.

The topics, program format and events are correct at the time of publishing. If unforeseen circumstances occur, CPA Canada has the right to alter or delete items from the program or cancel the course and refund all registration fees.

No handouts will be distributed onsite, conference/workshop presentations will be available online approximately 1 week prior to the conference for you to download and/or print as needed.
