This in-residence course (formerly Income Tax Practice) provides an overview of the foundational elements of, and highlights critical issues in, current tax legislation that general practitioners commonly encounter and need to understand.

2020 Income Tax Practice Course – East

 

Special Requirements

All participants are required to live in-residence for the duration of the course.

CPA Canada will reserve a room (with guarantee late arrival) at the Blue Mountain Village for each participant. Participants are responsible for settling their own room account on checkout. Accounts are paid directly to the Blue Mountain Resort on departure. Participants will be asked for a credit card on arrival. "No shows" will be charged.

Guestroom block is from December 5 - 10, 2020:

  • Studio Suite - $287.79 single per person per night
  • Bachelor Suite - $298.16 single per person per night
Daily Rates include:
  • one nights accommodation
  • one breakfast
  • one lunch
  • continuous coffee service
  • internet access in guestroom and meeting room
  • daily housekeeping
  • all taxes and gratuities
  • Village Amenity Fee

Transportation

CPA Canada has arranged for private shuttle bus transfers to Blue Mountain Resort from Sheraton Gateway Hotel, Toronto Pearson Airport.

The cost of the bus transportation to and from the course is $80.00 plus applicable taxes (non refundable). This must be paid at the time of registration. Without pre-payment you are not permitted on the bus. There will be no custom pick-up/drop-offs.

CPA Canada will be running a bus from the Sheraton Gateway Hotel (across from Terminal 3 Departures at the Pearson Airport).

We will have a Hospitality Suite at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in the interlaken meeting room. This Suite will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. for your convenience while you wait for departing coaches.

Please note that you need to check in at the Hospitality Suite when you arrive. Priority on buses is based on signing-in at the Hospitality Suite. Coaches are for participants only – all guests will have to make their own travel arrangements.

The bus will depart the Sheraton Gateway Hotel to Blue Mountain Village on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  The return bus will depart at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10

The return bus will depart at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019 to Pearson International Airport.

This bus is only for participants that have purchased and paid in advance for this service.

Special Requirements

Accounts are paid directly to the Rimrock Resort Hotel on departure. Participants will be asked for a credit card on arrival. "No shows" will be charged.

Guestroom block is from November 7- 11, 2020:

  • $184.00 Standard 2 Queen per night plus applicable taxes
  • $199.00 Standard 1 King per night
Daily Rates include:

Tuition Fee $3295.00 plus applicable taxes, plus $600.00 facility fee = $3795.00 *

The cost of the bus transportation to and from the course is $80.00 plus applicable taxes + a $40.00 Banff National Park Entry Fee (non refundable). This must be paid at the time of registration. Without pre-payment you are not permitted on the bus. There will be no custom pick-up/drop-offs.

CPA Canada will be running a bus from the Hampton Inn by Hilton Airport (across from Calgary International Airpor). We will have a Hospitality Suite at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Airport in the Prestige Ballroom. Refund Policy

  • 30+ calendar days prior to start date: full refund available
  • 7-29 calendar days prior to start date: $300 cancellation fee and any hotel-related cancellation fees apply
  • 6 calendar days or fewer prior to start date: no refund available

The topics, program format and events are correct at the time of publishing. If unforeseen circumstances occur, CPA Canada has the right to alter or delete items from the program or cancel the event and refund all registration fees.

No handouts will be distributed onsite, conference/workshop presentations will be available online approximately 1 week prior to the conference for you to download and/or print as needed.
