This in-residence course provides an overview of the foundational elements of Canadian private corporation tax and highlights critical issues in current tax legislation that general practitioners commonly encounter and need to know about to advise their clients for the future. Improve your ability to identify tax issues and gain a better appreciation of tax-planning techniques while reviewing the CRA’s current administrative practices and positions.

The authority to decide what learning program constitutes acceptable CPD and evidence of CPD hours to meet regulatory requirements remains solely with your provincial or regional CPA body

Special Requirements

All participants are required to live in-residence for the duration of the course. CCPA Canada will reserve a room (with guarantee late arrival) one of the Tremblant hotels for each participant. Participants are responsible for settling their own room account on checkout. Accounts are paid directly to the hotel on departure. Participants will be asked for a credit card on arrival. "No shows" will be charged.

All participants are required to bring the latest edition of the Income Tax Act to the course site.

Tuition : $3525.00 Tuition Fee + $700 Facility Fee


CPA Canada has arranged for private shuttle bus transfers to Tremblant from Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel, Montreal Trudeau Airport.

The cost of the bus transportation to and from the course is $80.00 plus applicable taxes (non refundable). This must be paid at the time of registration. Without pre-payment you are not permitted on the bus. There will be no custom pick-up/drop-offs.

CPA Canada will be running a bus from the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel. We will have a Hospitality Suite at the Montreal Airport Marriott. This Suite will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for your convenience while you wait for departing coaches.

Please note that you need to check in at the Hospitality Suite when you arrive. Priority on buses is based on signing-in at the Hospitality Suite. Coaches are for participants only – all guests will have to make their own travel arrangements.

The bus will depart the Montreal Airport Marriott on Sunday, October 15th, 2023 at 11:00 am. The return bus will depart at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023.

This bus is only for participants that have purchased and paid in advance for this service.

Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend an event for any reason, you may substitute, by arrangement with the Program Coordinator, someone else from your organization, or, you may cancel up to 30 calendar days prior to the course start date for a full refund. Cancellations received within 30 calendar days of the conference start date will be subject to a $300 administration fee (plus applicable taxes) and any related hotel cancellation fees.

PLEASE NOTE: All cancellations must be received in writing by email to directly from the attendee.

The topics, program format and events are correct at the time of publishing. If unforeseen circumstances occur, CPA Canada has the right to alter or delete items from the program or cancel the event and refund all registration fees.
